Meet our Staff
Pastor Paul Weber
The Reverend Dr. Paul D. Weber is Professor Emeritus of Church Music at Lenoir-Rhyne University, Hickory, North Carolina, where he taught for twenty years and conducted the A Cappella and Chapel Choirs, and, along with his wife Florence Jowers, founded the sacred music program. Ordained in 1979, Dr. Weber served two congregations in western Pennsylvania prior to his call from the North Carolina Synod (ELCA) to teach at Lenoir-Rhyne. He is a Distinguished Alumnus of Concordia College–New York and of The Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. Pastor Weber is also a published, award-winning composer whose music is found in Lutheran hymnals. He has advanced degrees in music from Washington University, St. Louis, from the Yale University School of Music and Institute of Sacred Music, and from The University of Iowa. Pastor Mark Radecke
The Rev. Dr. Mark Wm. Radecke is Emeritus Chaplain to the University and Associate Professor of Religion at Susquehanna University, a college of the ELCA. Author of four published volumes of sermons, he also designed and led several national award winning service-learning courses and programs in Central America and the USA. He holds degrees from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (B.A. in Theatre), Gettysburg Seminary (M.Div.), Trinity Lutheran Seminary (STM), and Princeton Theological Seminary (D.Min.). Pastor Radecke served Christ Lutheran Church in Roanoke for eighteen years. He and his wife, Tami, are the parents of five adult children. They have six grandchildren and share their home with two spoiled cats, one black and one orange — the team colors of their beloved Baltimore Orioles. Linda has been on our staff since 2002. She brings wonderful skill and experience and helps our congregation and staff stay organized and healthy. Elizabeth Williams Music Minister
Elizabeth oversees our worship and music ministries. She is a native of Covington Va., began studying piano at the age of nine and organ at twelve. Her first organist position began at fourteen and she has never looked back!
Elizabeth holds a Master of Music degree from James Madison University, where she studied piano with Steve Buchanan and organ with Richard McPherson.
Before joining Muhlenberg in 2008, she was organist at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Woodstock, Va. In addition to serving at Muhlenberg, Elizabeth is also principal accompanist for Masterworks Chorus of the Shenandoah Valley and teaches privately. She is a member of AGO. Christian Formation Minister
Diane has served on our staff since 2006. She provides leadership for all our faith formation ministries. She has also served on the VA Synod Education Committee and currently serves on the Synod’s “Roots & Wings” Committee for nurturing faith of families with younger children. Diane is married to Chip and they have four children. In her spare time she enjoys being with her grandchildren. Email Diane at email@example.com.
Mycah graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelors of Science in Biology, Concentration in Ecology and Environmental Biology, and a minor in Anthropology. She then served a year abroad with the ELCA’s Young Adults in Global Mission program with a church in Manchester, UK. Her time there was formative and influential in her call to serve the church, leading her to work with Muhlenberg as a communication and ministry specialist. High School Youth Leader
Clay serves as the youth leader for our high school youth program. After graduating from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Teaching degree, Clay attended Southern Seminary in Columbia, SC where he developed a passion for youth and music ministry. Shortly after Seminary, Clay worked in law enforcement with the Richland County Sheriff's Department and part time as a youth director. He and Gloria formed a Christian acoustic duo called Exit 9 and set out traveling across the country providing music ministry for youth of all ages!
