The mission of campus ministry at Muhlenberg is to foster growth in faith and support ministry in higher education by inviting students into the life of our congregation. Our congregation also includes a wide array of faculty and administration from the area.

Local Missions are all the ways our congregation seeks to serve our community, partner with others, and care for people in need right here at home.

• Second Home

  Second Home, a before and after school educational program for latchkey kids, is a community ministry of Muhlenberg created to meet the urgent needs of impoverished families in our neighborhood.

• HHRC Day Care Center

  Harrisonburg Rockingham Child Day Care Center for children of ages 2-5 during the school year and additionally ages 6-8 during the summer months.

  Muhlenberg helped found this agency, which serves persons with emergency financial needs.

• HARTS

  Harrisonburg and Rockingham Thermal Shelter (HARTS):  Muhlenberg participates in this rotating, weekly program for homeless men and women in our community.

  The Rwanda School Project.  We are blessed to have ELCA Missionaries who are current or former members.

  We have supported the ELCA World Hunger Appeal for many years. Through this ministry life-saving and sustaining programs are provided around the globe through The Lutheran World Federation.
