Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper
Shrove Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday, has long been a time for Christians to prepare for Lent by confession and by using up rich foods cooked in fats before the season begins. Over time, this became the beloved tradition of a “Fat Tuesday” pancake feast. Join us for this joyful tradition at Muhlenberg in the MAC! Pancakes, sausage, egg casseroles, and fruit will be provided. Bring your appetite and enjoy an evening of fellowship and good food. Doors open at 6:00pm; if you arrive early, feel free to gather and visit in the Gathering Area. Are you interested in helping out? Please contact Emily Carneal at emily.wicht@gmail.com.

Show Your Team Spirit & Help the Hungry
Show your team spirit by bringing in your non-perishable food items for Patchwork Pantry. In the spirit of the Super Bowl, we will have a bin for fans of each team. The team that fills their bin with the most donations will be declared Muhlenberg's “Souper” Bowl winner.
All donations go to Patchwork Pantry and help our neighbors in need. Remember the pantry is also in need of paper products (towels, wraps, food storage bags, toilet tissue, etc.), cleansers (dish, laundry, all-purpose), diapers, and all types of personal hygiene products.
Comfort Makers
If you can tie a knot and want to help keep your neighbors warm, come join us Thursdays in Wayland Hall. We work 8::00am-12:00pm but you are welcome any time during those hours. For more information contact Linda Morrison (lindamm778@gmail.com or 540-383-5085).
Waffles & The Word
We host a weekly Bible Study on campus at JMU to give students an opportunity to grow closer together as we engage in God’s Word. We love to ask big questions and learn new things about the text, but it’s also a great opportunity to check in on and encourage one another during the week. We’ll gather each Thursday morning at 8am in D-Hall for a Bible Study over breakfast.

Interfaith Association Community Unity Event
The Interfaith Association (IFA) of Harrisonburg-Rockingham will serve a warm meal to our unhoused neighbors on Sun. Jan. 18 at 3:00pm in the Muhlenberg Activities Center (the MAC). The event is funded by a Muhlenberg Endowment grant. IFA will also provide each individual with a fast-food gift card and a small care package. Your generosity can make a real difference in someone’s comfort, safety, and dignity. To support the upcoming service project, IFA is collecting the following items for 85 - 100 individuals: socks, winter hats, gloves, hand warmers, bottled water, Nutri-Grain bars, fruit, canned meat, and tuna with crackers. If you have questions or would like to coordinate a donation, please contact Ramona Sanders (rsanders97@verizon.net).
