LAMs play an important role in worship — leading the congregation in prayers, helping distribute communion and assisting in the service as requested by the pastor.  LAMs also serve as stewards of communion set up (the communion table and altar) and tending to the communionware and elements after service.

The Shenandoah Valley Biblical Storytellers' Guild has received a grant from The Network of Biblical Storytellers, International to present a series of four workshops on learning about Biblical Storytelling. The workshops, tailored for adults and older teens, will guide participants through the process of learning and internalizing familiar Biblical stories, using the New Revised Standard Version updated edition of the Bible. The workshops will be led by Rev. Laura Schultz, M.A., M.Div. Other members of the Guild will present stories and describe their own process of internalizing scripture, as well as give feedback and encouragement to workshop participants as they learn.

For years, Muhlenberg has collected donations for the pantry, and we are excited to announce that collections continue on the first Sunday of each month! Bring your donations to the Gathering Area - monetary donations are also appreciated and help the pantry purchase food and perishable items as needed at a reduced price. You can make a check payable to “Muhlenberg Lutheran Church” with “Patchwork Pantry” noted, or you can give online HERE.

Donations of nutritious, non-perishable foods and personal care items are requested. Acceptable items include:

This 25-minute midweek noon service is typically held the first Wednesday each month. All are welcome, with a special emphasis on including those who have mobility challenges. A light lunch will be provided afterward for a time to share food and fellowship. The Care Committee will coordinate rides to and from the service. This 25-minute midweek noon service is typically held the first Wednesday each month. All are welcome, with a special emphasis on including those who have mobility challenges. A light lunch will be provided afterward for a time to share food and fellowship. The Care Committee will coordinate rides to and from the service. For years, Muhlenberg has collected donations for the pantry, and we are excited to announce that collections continue on the first Sunday of each month! Bring your donations to the Gathering Area - monetary donations are also appreciated and help the pantry purchase food and perishable items as needed at a reduced price. You can make a check payable to “Muhlenberg Lutheran Church” with “Patchwork Pantry” noted, or you can give online HERE.

Donations of nutritious, non-perishable foods and personal care items are requested. Acceptable items include:

Staples (smaller sizes are best): Canned soups, stew and chili, canned fruit, canned vegetables and beans, mac and cheese box dinners, peanut butter and jelly, breakfast bars, tuna and canned meat, low-sugar cereals

Non-food items: Diapers, toilet paper, bar soap, shampoo, toothpaste

New this year — Funday Night Church gives Sunday Funday an all new meaning. Funday Night Church is the 3rd Sunday of every month. This program is open to ages 3rd Grade - Senior High. We will meet in the MAC for worship and afterward break out into designated age groups for intentional fellowship with Bible time and games. This is a great time for relationship building. It’s also the perfect night to invite a friend!
