Where did you grow up, and what brought you to Harrisonburg?
I grew up in Chesterfield County, just outside of Richmond, VA. What brought me to Harrisonburg was that in 1995, my husband at the time (divorced now), got offered a position at JMU. We were living in Crozet, VA at the time.
How does your faith happen in your daily life?
Faith changes everything in life and has an impact on my daily life. Christ’s love for us and His promise to be with us gives me the confidence to embrace whatever comes my way. The love of my family and friends is such a blessing.
What is a fun fact about you that may surprise people?
I enjoy riding my Harley Davidson motorcycle.
What’s the most inspiring part of your job?
To be able to work with a great leadership team of the church and get to know the community of this church. I am always learning and being that I just started the position of Finance Manager, I am looking forward to learning about the leadership style and approach to managing the finances of the church.

My favorite word in the English language is:
“Metamorphosis” – the word metaphorically is used to describe any profound change or transformation in form, structure, or character. Hence this is why I love butterflies and raising them. The life cycle of butterflies symbolizes the life of Christ.
If I could invent a holiday, it would definitely involve:
Family and friends for a lawn party with good food and dance floor for dancing the night away!
