Honor Flight for Veterans
Honor Flight 2026 is looking for veterans to go on an all-expenses paid trip to Washington, DC. They have two commercial buses that will leave Harrisonburg on Saturday, October 10. One bus isn't half full right now. The only requirement to attend is to be a US Veteran!
I went on this trip in October 2018, and it is wonderful! We had Capital Police escort us the whole time. The tours of the WWI and WWII, Vietnam, Korea, Lincoln Memorials, Tomb of the Unknown, Arlington Cemetery and several branches of the military memorials were so meaningful. Lunch is even provided.
