Mission Endowment
Congregation Council is seeking proposals for 2026 Mission Endowment grants. The purpose of the Mission Endowment Fund is to enhance the mission outreach of the congregation beyond that expected and supported through regular giving. This provides us with the support and resources to carry out plans, programs, ideas and dreams as we are moved by the Spirit to live out our mission to equip all people to live out Christ’s love. This year, Council is encouraging ministries and individuals to Build Bridges of Welcome. Muhlenberg wants to heal divisions and create a community shaped by Christ’s grace, where people are welcomed, seen, and connected. Eligible applicants can request grant funds for projects aligned with Muhlenberg’s mission and focused on building bridges of welcome. In 2026, $37,000 will be provided in grants, but we encourage applications for $10,000 or less so that multiple grants can be awarded. Applications will be accepted April 1 – April 30. Additional supporting documents may be requested as part of the application process. If selected, applicants will be notified by May 2026. Funds will be immediately available and are required to be spent within twelve months. All awarded projects will provide an update to the congregation in November 2026 about their work. Paper applications are available in the Gathering Area. Online applications are available HERE or visit https://bit.ly/40M6NlV. The Mission Endowment Grant team is Kathy Thompson, Sarah Orem, and Cathy Copeland. Please direct questions to Cathy Copeland (catherineblose@gmail.com).
