Voice & Vision Capital Campaign UPDATE
Things are moving right along with the Voice & Vision capital campaign. People Helping People, working out of The Ott Street House, is moving out of a building that is literally falling down around them. We will relocate them to the Nielsen Room (downstairs in the church building) on Saturday, April 11. (See page 10 for more information.) Once they have been relocated and everything cleared out of The Ott Street House, we will demolish that building, re-grade the lot and create an outdoor space that can be used for Muhlenberg and Second Home. To date, the amount of written and verbal pledges is over $800,000 and members who chose not to make a written pledge have been contributing to the campaign. For the first 10 months of the 36-month campaign, over $280,000 has been contributed. A contract was signed with Kegg Pipe Organ Builders to begin designing and building our new pipe organ. To date, we have made two initial payments totaling $98,521. The next payment is scheduled for September 2026 for another $98,521. Since the beginning of Voice & Vision, the campaign has already funded several short term projects, including: • Sealing and striping the church parking lots • Repairing leaks on the roof over the Gathering Area • Permanently hanging the Anniversary Quilt in the Sanctuary 175th • Installing six sound absorbing panels in the Sanctuary • Adding a “Welcome” sign over the main entrance to the Gathering Area and “Muhlenberg Activities Center” lettering to the north wall of the MAC nearest the church building. These projects were completed for a total cost of approximately $20,000. It’s exciting to see this campaign in action! And it’s certainly not too late to be a part of it. Consider making a onetime or recurring gift to help us reach our goal. If you have already pledged but haven’t started fulfilling your pledge, please consider making your donations as soon as you are able. If you would like to make a pledge, contact Finance Manager Linda West (finance@ muhlenberglutheran.org) (msbyerlype@comcast.net). or Mark Byerly Thank you, Muhlenberg, for your generosity! We can accomplish much when we all work together.
