Our church staff has had a challenging year, with shifts in staffing and workload — in many cases taking on additional work to care for the needs of our community. They have taken on these challenges with resilience, resourcefulness, and grace.
The Personnel Committee is suggesting that we show our appreciation this holiday season with a gift card drive for the staff. Gift cards can be in any amount, and to any business you think the staff would appreciate — gas, restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops; whatever you think they would find helpful these days.
Each Sunday, a wooden collection box will be placed at the Connection Center in the Gathering Area for you to drop a gift card into, as a way of saying thanks to the staff for all they do for all of us. If it is easier for you, cards can also be collected in the church office during the week, or you can reach out to me and we will make other arrangements to collect them from you.
The gathering of cards will run from November 15 until December 13. Then the Personnel Committee will divide the cards up equitably, so the staff can share in the thanks from an appreciative church community.
